I am an insurance agent. I meet a lot of people every day and I see
their fates. How often I am terrified with what I see! Unfortunately, many
Russian men cannot stand responsibility not only for their wife and children
but also for themselves. They are often cruel or indifferent.
One day I insured life of a pregnant woman whose husband was a drunk.
Next day I learned that he cut her with an axe.
I traveled a lot around the world before and I saw attitude of men
towards women in other countries. What a striking difference!
My husband perished in an accident leaving me alone with a little
daughter. I do not want my daughter to be cut with an axe!

This is my daugher running on the marble steps of a monument with

there; my little daughter laughs, I think about it with sadness. One of

Of course, we look for an ideal man. Some men comprehend their wife
like a very caring mother who should provide them with all, to feed them,
to wash their clothes and to educate their child. Such men even do not
try to find a job.
The other extreme: rich men, 'new Russians'. As a rule, they have
very low morality here: it is seen in their way to earn money and their
attitude to women. They think, it is not important to have the friendship
and virtue except money. Their wives have all material comfort, but they
can be perfectly single women.
Will you not admire a woman who works 8 hours a day, who entirely
keeps the house and all week-ends works in a garden where she digs the
soil, plant potato and grow different vegetables and fruit, who can whiten
the ceiling, paint the window and glue wall-papers, who will try to make
a tasty dish even when the fridge is empty, who loves children and devotes
all her spare time to their education, who can sew and knit, who is always
beautiful and attractive, merry and passionate, who expects only tenderness
and attention in return and who is ready to live with a man even in a hut.
Can you read a newspaper or watch TV while your wife is doing the
house? Do you think aliments for your children are unnecessary and burdensome
expenses? Can you call to your ex-wife only once a year just to ask how
your child is? Many men act so in Russia.
So, despite my love to my motherland, its, a people, history, literature,
language. I decided to apply to a agency because I am a woman and should
be happy with a man and be beloved with him. that is why I look for another
attitude to a family and children from a man. Maybe, I am a incorrigable
idealist, but if you answer:"No" to one question-my efforts are
not in vane?
Of course, people are not the same, and it means that all people
cannot be bad. Of course, women can find their ideal but it is so rare!
As most of women, I was unlucky.

Why do Russian women prefer foreign men?
Russia always had firm marriages in history because it belongs to
the western and eastern cultures at the same time. That is why we have
many islam traditions of our family relationship: man is the head of the
family and our women are for home; the family, children are on the first
place for Russian women. We were educated so. But the role of men changed
very much. I can say, men and women exchanged with their roles. Our men
ceased to be independent, and they often depend on their parents and wives
morally and financially.
They cannot be a support for their families and they shift all difficulties
of life to women. Our women should combine house work, education of children
and career. And we think the main thing is the family and children. Because
of it Russian men begin to drink, and it destroys climate of family and
education of children. And we are womanly, gentle and kind-hearted and
we need the support of man and husband. That is why, we think, American
men appreciate these qualities in women.
Our notion about American men: they are independent men and caring
husbands which know what they want from the family. They think about tomorrow
day and before starting a family they make the base for it. That is all
what his future family needs.
Men make the house, and the wife becomes the soul of the house: sweet,
caring, reliable, loving her husband and children.
