Magical Virtual Tourstm : nostalgie about Yoshkar-Ola

All these pictures were made by a talented photographer from Yoshkar-Ola. His name is Andrei Vasilyev. At present he is a student of law. Lyrics is written by Konstantin Sitnikov, Maxim's brother.

Could I ever think I would feel nostalgic about a small snow-covered city somewhere in far-away Russia?..

In hot California, in busy New-York or on the praries of Texas a vision-remembrance suddenly comes through my mind: a wonderful park in the snow like a fairy-tale forest, branches of trees heavy with snow forming kind of a long tunnel above our heads and a narrow path deep in snow. Only She and I are going along the path...

Yes, She was the beginning of all! I saw Her picture at Maksim's site and realized (it was like a flash) that I had waited for this woman all my life. We corresponded with Her for less than a month but it was enough for Her and Her nice daughter Natasha to become my family. I could think of nothing else than only meeting Her as soon as possible. And I am in Moscow at last...

She met me at the airport Sheremetyevo-2. I had to waste an entire hour at the Customs. We could already see each other, we tried to reach each other but we were separated by this annoying barrier. How I longed to embrace Her - for the first time! To kiss Her - for the first time! She was so beautiful...

We spent two wonderful days in Moscow. We stayed at a hotel "Belgrad". We went to Red Square and to the Kremlin, to the Tretyakov Gallery and to the Bolshoi Theater. quare and to the Kremlin, to the Tretyakov Gallery and to the Bolshoi Theater.

I lived in Her apartment on the second floor, the windows looked over a calm yard covered with snow. I have never seen so much snow in my life. Perhaps, this city may have a different look, but I remembered it just like that: white and quiet...

You won't believe it, but we were like children. We walked along old streets in Yoshkar-Ola holding each other's hands. She warmed my frozen fingers with Her hot breath. If you could know the fresh smell of a woman's hair, after she has come in from the frost...

There are many old wooden houses with painted carvings in Yoshkar-Ola. I wondered who lived in one of these small houses with birch logs in the yard and smoke rising from the brick chimney. My Bride's parents lived there!...

Have you ever been in a Russian bath? Even if you mind, they will force you to go there! Famous Russian hospitality does not take your wishes into consideration.:-) An oven made of bricks breathes with heat, hot air is filled with the fragrance of dried herbs...

I wish you could see the fascinating sunsets there! A dim red sun is sinking in a thick snow cloud. This magnificent and formidable sight may seem to be somewhat gloomy, but, oh, how I long to see it again!..

Buildings looked so mystical in the lantern light at night as if you are looking at them through green bottle glass. Sometimes it seems to me that all that happened with me is unreal...
