Last Sunday was absolutely wonderful for a group of our students and
our American guest Chris Brodkin. Instead of staying in town we went
to an out-of-town English lesson in Chkarino, a village about 30
minutes away from the city.
There were 8 of us, we arrived at the hotel in the morning. The first
impression was "Wow! It's wonderful!" The rooms are very attractive
and comfortable. The hall of the hotel is where we traditionally hold our
English lessons when we come to Chkarino.
This was planned as an unusual lesson, it should combine different
activities, mostly games specially designed for this type of courses.
We learned new words, connected with horse riding, of course, but not
limited to that. It's difficult to describe it to people who have not
experienced it themselves. How to describe a few hours of fun after
which you feel absolutely comfortable speaking a foreign language to
strangers (some of the students met just a few minutes before the
departure).
We also liked the stables. Everything is new. We learned a lot about
these beautiful animals. And had a chance to experience horseback
riding, some of us for the first time in our lives.
The food and the service at dinner were wonderful. Even sudden rain
did not spoil our impression. It is great to have a chance to
combine business and pleasure in such a way.
