5th of October is the day when Russians celebrate Teacher's Day. Of course, "Virginia" follows this wonderful tradition, which allows us to show our gratitude to our teachers for doing such a superb job.
We started our celebration a bit early (on October 4th)and had a wonderful party with cakes, fruit and champagne. Our teachers got roses from our agency and flowers from their students too. Maxim and his family also came to the the party to greet the teachers. Many nice things were said, and we also introduced our two new colleagues - Marina and Nadezhda, who shall also become teachers at our agency. It wasn't the party "for the English teachers only", and Hanaa, our teacher of Arabic, also joined us for the celebration.
After the flower and champagne part there was a tea party and a chat. We asked our teachers why they wanted to become teachers in the firstplace...For most of them, it was a a childhood dream. And now they are pursuing it successfully, teaching our students, and applying all things new and interesting to make learning fun and effective.
As Marina Maltseva so eloquently put it, "Teaching English is my life". It is wonderful, when such a dream comes true.
We wish our teachers that all of their dreams would come true as well!
