Anyone's heart would be full of pain to see a tiny mewing creature or a skinny puppy who is wagging his tail in devotion:Maybe they have simply got lost or are too little to find their way home, or maybe they are just "street pets". It's hard to imagine that they have been thrown away by their masters. One minute later the poor creature is sitting in his new master's arms who is tenderly pressing him against his chest. He has been warmed, fed and given a warm place to live in and in a few days nobody can imagine how they could live without this "foundling". It often happens so that a happy cat or a dog becomes not only a member of the family, but its talisman and sometimes even the "head" of it as well, once and for all. Sometimes these "foundlings" are brought home by children. They promise to take care of the puppy (the kitten), take it for a walk if necessary and also to do their hometask without being reminded of it. Sometimes parents would agree. Then a son or a daughter grow up to be a kind and responsible person who is always ready to give a helping hand to those in need. But sometimes they would refuse saying that they should return these poor pets where they took them. They use all kinds of arguments from "It will spoil our parquet" and "You will get worms or fleas from it" to "Let's better get you a mobile phone". But little "foundlings" can be cured and it must be possible to do something to save the parquet. It's saving a poor animal that is much more important. One can suppress a child's sincere and noble impulse but as a result in a few years he will become a selfish person impossible to change even by getting him a puppy with the best pedigree: Click here to read more about us |
